Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Opello ("Opello", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and the Opello application (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, email address, password (hashed), workspace and billing details you provide when you register.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Business & lead data — business names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, and other publicly available business contact details that you or the Service source, import, or generate while using our lead search and CRM features.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, device/browser information, IP address, and log data, collected to operate and improve the Service.
- Content you provide — messages, notes, templates, and other content you create or upload within the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including lead search, CRM, and AI features.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails, product updates, and support communications.
- Monitor usage, detect abuse, and improve reliability and performance.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing
Certain features (lead scoring, message drafting, keyword suggestions) send relevant content to third-party AI model providers for processing. We select providers that offer appropriate data-handling terms, but you should avoid entering information you are not authorized to share with a processing provider.
4. Business & Lead Contact Data
Opello helps customers discover and organize publicly available business contact information for legitimate B2B outreach. If you use the Service to contact leads, you are solely responsible for complying with applicable anti-spam, marketing, and data protection laws (including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and similar regulations) in the jurisdictions where your leads are located.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service — such as hosting/database infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and AI processing providers — under contractual obligations to protect your data, or when required by law.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
